Dhanush was born as Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja to Tamil film director & producer Kasthuri Raja on 28 July 1982. Acting was initially suggested by his brother, Selvaraghavan. Dhanush married Aishwarya in 2004. Together they have two children named Yatra and Linga, who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively. Dhanush is an Indian actor, producer, director, writer, lyricist, dancer and playback singer from Tamil cinema. Dhanush starred in 44 films during his lifetime.. Dhanush has won 13 SIIMA Awards, 9 Vijay Awards, 7 Filmfare Awards South, 5 Vikatan Awards, 5 Edison Awards, 4 National Film awards (2 as actor and 2 as producer) and 1 Filmfare Award He's done well and has been in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list for India six times.
