Biography
Lee Ji-eun, better known by her stage name IU, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with the EP Lost and Found. 1 IU has released a total of five studio albums, ten extended plays, and 47 singles (including 29 as a lead artist). She is one of the best-selling solo artists in K-pop history, with over 10 million albums sold. IU is also one of the most successful actresses in South Korea, having starred in popular television dramas such as Dream High (2011), You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin (2013), Pretty Man (2013), The Producers (2015), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), My Mister (2018), 2 Persona (2019), and Hotel del Luna (2019). She has also starred in films such as Dream (2023) and Broker (2022).
